Hello everyone – due to the extreme weather forecast over the next 24 hours, we have had to make the sad decision to postpone our Annual Duck Race to Saturday 12th October.
This will be held at same time and location – 12.30pm from the Button Bridge.
We realise how disappointing this is however, we have been advised that the river will not be safe to use and obviously everyone’s safety is of the upmost importance to us.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries or concerns and thank you all as always for your continued support.
Best Wishes – on behalf of Frome Carnival Committee.
Here are the results from our 2019 Afternoon and Evening Processions.
Wow what can we say….. The wonderful feedback that we have received following this years procession is overwhelming and so appreciated. We were all left feeling a little cream crackerd… but in a good way.
Most of the committee were up early the next morning at the Big Count and we are very pleased to announce that thanks to the generosity of the public, we have managed to collect just over £4,000. This is way up on last year and is an amazing amount for our beneficiaries.
We want to say a mahoosive thank you to everyone – the entrants – we know our procession route can be a little challenging, the Judges – who had such a mammoth task of judging all the fabulous entries, the Marshalls – who did a great job of keeping both the entrants and the public safe during the procession, all the people working hard behind the scenes and last but by no means least…. the wonderful people in the community of Frome who turned out in their thousands to line the procession route.
Most of our entrants come back to the Frome Street Carnival, year after year, mainly because of the fantastic warm welcome and support they receive from the wonderful crowd that cheer, dance, clap and show their appreciation to all our entrants as they pass them by.
YOU ARE ALL AMAZING – THANK YOU.
