Victoria Park has public toilets, but there are no changing facilities. The park has a privately-operated café with outdoor seating. The Café sells a range of hot drinks cakes and light snack.
There are a number of convenience stores and chips shop within a 5 minute walk if you get hungry.
Cars will not be allowed ti park in Victoria Park.
Parking restrictions will be in force along the carnival route. Cars will NOT be able to park along Weymouth Road or Christchurch Street West. The TRO allows the procession route to be closed from;
Weymouth Road (Frome Ecos Court to the junction of Cristchurch Street West), Somerset Road (From the junction of Queens Road to the Junction of the Butts), Weymouth Road (From the Somerset road junction to the junction of Ecos Court) – Between 13:00 hours and 17:00 hours;
And Wesley Slope, Butts Hill, The Butts, Christchurch Street West, Christchurch Street East, Gorehedge – Between 14:00 hours and 17:00 hours.
To reduce impact on local traffic a rolling closure is put in place reducing the time each section is closed. The closures will go in all at the same time 13:00 and 14:00 respectively. Closures are maintained only so long as to allow the procession to safely clear each of the 4 zones. Roads are opened as soon as it is safe to do so under the supervision of the Lead Marshal for each zone having first been given permission by the Silver Control.
